How to play Poker Duel

About this game

Poker Duel uses familiar ranks and suits in an original local table game. Two competitors watch the same revealed cards and take turns. The AI keeps track of cards it has seen; it does not inspect hidden values.

How to play

On your turn, reveal two cards. In Classic Duel, pair cards with the same rank and color, such as a seven of hearts and a seven of diamonds. A valid pair earns one point and another turn. A miss hands the turn to the opponent.

Three steps to play

Step 1

Watch every reveal

Note ranks, suits and positions, even when the other player turns cards.

Step 2

Apply the pair rule

In Classic Duel, find the same rank and the same color.

Step 3

Keep your turn

A correct pair adds a point and lets you act again.

Modes and difficulty

Play against Easy, Normal or Hard AI, or choose Local Duel and Pass & Play. Classic Duel uses same rank and color; Zebra Duel uses opposite colors; Crazy Eights pairs any two cards of the same rank. A Best of 3 format is also available.

Scoring and winning

Each captured pair adds one point to the current player. The higher pair total wins when the deck is cleared or the round ends. Each human player has one Peek per round to briefly inspect a card. Table styles are cosmetic, and all chips are virtual with no cash value.
